Neon nail polish first gained mass popularity in the 80’s. Back then it gained a surprising amount of acceptance not only with the “punk” and “gothic” crowd but also with people who didn’t have as an extreme fashion sense. Of course like almost anything that could be called a fashion accessory it is the celebrities that make such products fashionable, and nowadays it is true as was then. Some people may only put one color or some may put several colors on the same nail. But a new trend is that there are even colors that are aimed specifically for men. For those of you who are really conscious, there are even ones specifically designed for the toe nails as opposed to finger nails. With all these new colors and styles applying nail polish has become once again a fun and trendy pastime with the resurgence of neon nail polish.

One interesting new trend is that there is a new market for the “metrosexual” male. There are colors made specifically with the male customer in mind. But it is still a good idea to look around because with a product like neon nail polish there are some lesser known good brands. Another reason to look around is that the major brands tend to be pricier than the rest. One of the interesting things that the trend of putting on neon nail polish is that people started to experiment with different styles and colors on the same nail.
